Business Description

Windstream is the result of a Reverse Morris Trust transaction between Valor Communications and Alltel's wireline division, which closed on July 17, 2006. The new company is one of the largest incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) in the country with approximately 3.4 million access lines in 16 states. Windstream provides phone service, broadband, and satellite television service through a resale arrangement to residential and business customers. The company is headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas.
